Butterfly Baby Shower Food
Wow, I'm already a month late in posting this, and Sarah's even about to have her baby any day now… I'm still really proud of the shower, though, so you're going to be subject to the food we ate, haha. And we had quite the yummy spread! One of Sarah's friends helped me with the food, and Sarah herself actually made the cupcakes, haha.

Most of the plates and platters are from the dollar store and spray-painted, by the way! I got around the whole spray-paint-isn't-foodsafe thing by getting clear plastic platters and only spray painting the bottom. The plates were already that color, and I just found a paint to match for the pillars. (I was going to do a how-to for the pillar plates, but all my pictures turned out gross… Basically: Buy candlesticks and plates from the dollar store. Prime and paint the candlesticks (I could have done the candlesticks a different color, but I wanted them to be neutral). Use white Gorilla Glue to glue them together. Cake and pie!)

I also used my printer and Silhouette to make labels for the food—not because any of it was ambiguous, but because I thought it would be fun!

We had veggie pizza slices, candy sushi, fruit salsa and sweet chips (which are flour tortillas, dipped in water, sprinkled with cinnamon-sugar, and then dried again), fudge, and pink lemonade/Sprite. You can check out my fudge recipe and a how-to here. I can also get the recipe/instructions for the candy sushi if you'd like me to share… Anything else you want to know?
