Baby's First Haircut (Sniff!)
There comes a time in every Mamma's life where this happens… It's undeniable… Your toddler has a mullet.
The top of his head looks short and adorable, and if you're looking from the front he's got these sweet little curls by the ears… And then you look at the back of his head, and it's all party/curl/tangle. We've been talking about taking Monkey to get his hair cut for a couple months, but I always managed to find a way to "forget" to do it on Saturday, and then, oh darn, we'll have to wait till next week. Until this past Saturday… I decided it was time. We headed off to Fantastic Sams, armed with a couple toys, a couple books, and Mamma's cell phone camera (Husband wanted to bring the camcorder, but we forgot it).
The back of my head is wet and cold now… What's going on?
This isn't too bad… I've got my cow, and someone's playing with my hair.
The bobbley nose on the front of this book needs to be touched.
Uhm… What's that noise? (He ended up not even minding the clippers; it just seemed to be tickley, and he kept trying to turn to see them.)
Gah, Mamma's trying to get a picture of me with my sucker! I've got to hide it!
OK, if I turn my head my mouth will be out of the frame!
Dang, she got me!
The only problem for me is that he looks so grown up now… It makes me sniffle. Look at this big boy!
