American Flag/Preamble Printable
First of all, my flag wreath was featured today over at Sew Dang Cute! I'm so excited, and her site and tutorials are so awesome, go check her out! I'll wait. If you're here from Sew Dang Cute, welcome! You came at a good time, because check out what I've got for you today…
I have seen 4th of July printables all over blogland, but I haven't been able to find one that I really liked/fit with my style, so I decided to whip up one of my own!
It was less of a "whipping" process, and more of an "intensive labor" process, but that's probably because I am so picky/perfectionist about things like this—the fonts all had to remind me of the 1700s-ish, and I couldn't have script next to script, and blah de blah like that. I had a bit of an internal debate about capitalizations and the spelling of "defence," but I decided to type it exactly how it originally appears.
And here's the good news for you… I decided to host the .pdf file, so you can download it yourself! Right click, save as, and all that mumbo jumbo here. I put a watermark on it, but it's tiny itty bitty, so please leave it there… The pdf is technically 8x10.5 inches, so I took it to Office Max and had them center it on an 8.5x11 photo page, and then put it in my spray painted, dollar store document frame. I'm sure you can resize it however you want, though.
I would love to know if you used it, and see where you decided to put it! Mine is in my kitchen above the light switch. Husband thinks it's so awesome, he wants me to print and frame a small one for his desk at work!
